Feasibility Level through to Implementation of works. Southern Zone was divided in to various sections: Asset Renewals Group which consisted of: Track Renewals, Telecommunications and Electrification facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of Commercial Support by means of Commercial Analysts
- Management and Control of Project Budgets for the renewals of assets
- Contract management
- Contractor valuations preparation: invoice processing, project management
- Collation, input and production of 4 weekly financial reports (including financial planning and charge control variations). These reports summarised the progress to date (in terms of time and money) and also future expenditure of the projects (4 weekly forecasts)
Development, training and mentoring new Railtrack Commercial Analysts
West Coast Route Modernisation Project (External Stakeholder Management)
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship management of all the Train Operating Companies (TOC’s) & the Freight Operating Companies (FOC’s)
- Compensation claim management
- Provision of a Commercial Analyst
- Spreadsheet management projecting liabilities as a result of pending engineering works
- Accurate estimate provision of expected compensation claims for future engineering works, which would be included in authority papers to obtain the necessary funding for the projects. Purchase Order control
- ESM Team contact with Finance.
